The game against Millwall Athletic was originally scheduled as a London League fixture which was abandoned after 15 minutes play due to fog, the fog subsequently cleared and a friendly took place of 30 minutes each half

Southampton and West Ham United were among eight teams competing for the Southern Charity Cup, the money raised would benefit Medical Charities in the districts from which the Clubs taking part are selected.
The Cup is at present held by Tottenham Hotspur having defeated the Hammers in last seasons final.
As well as Spurs the other teams in the competition include Woolwich Arsenal, Millwall, Queens Park Rangers, Reading and Portsmouth.
Eight in all, the competition will comprise three rounds – the first, the semi-finals, and the final.
